My wife just graduated and left, and I'm figuring at least some people are going to be weird about it. Hang out and have a drink once or twice a week so that they don't decide I'm depressed and isolating myself.

[Jesse is a calculated choice here: she's someone who Shaw thinks is cool and who she doesn't think would suck to spend time with, but they also don't know each other well enough that Jesse might feel the need to fret or ask how she's doing. It's a win-win.]

Yeah. And I'm already used to working at the behest of mysterious unknown forces with a bigger and broader picture than anything I'm working with, so-- there's a lot I hate about this place, but trusting the Admiral himself hasn't steered me wrong so far.
