I wish we had a better way to phrase that.

"Right. Paranatural crimes, spooky bullshit, just- if it's gonna be on an episode of Night Springs it's probably gonna be stored in New York."

"Yeah, we don't have that," Shaw says, dryly. "The paranormal stuff, I mean - but I've never heard of Night Springs either, so maybe also that. Getting recruited for the Barge was a trip."

She shrugs. "Maybe it's a universe exclusive, I know Saga and Wake've seen it too." Wake wrote on it, in fact. "We can see if they have it in the library, they've got a bunch of old TV shows and stuff."

"Is it about two agents who are partners, and one of 'em is a skeptic while the other one's a believer?"

Look, maybe their worlds have parallels. Who knows.

[primedirector]

"Nah, it's more like..." She pans a hand through the air, putting on a spooky narrator voice. "When someone finds a fridge that's completely indestructible, or a fan that steals all the oxygen from the room, they might just be shopping in... Night Springs."

And she lowers her hand. "That sort of thing. Like, Weird alternate reality sci-fi trips."

"Comedy...?" Shaw hazards, arching an eyebrow. Look, those examples sure sound comedic to her. That, and her preference is for comedy, so there is perhaps a bit of wishful thinking going on here.

"Uhh... unintentionally? It's old-school, so sometimes the acting is like, crazy hammy and over-the-top. It definitely takes itself seriously."

She nods back to the stairs. "I mean, I don't have anything better to do, if you wanna watch an episode. They're like, half an hour?"

Shaw tilts her head back to look up at the stars, then back down to look at the net she'd climbed up out of. Then, finally, she looks back at Jesse.

"I like movies you can laugh at. And I could kill half an hour."
